Trajectory spanning more than six decades
Benedito Ruy Barbosa was born on April 17, 1931, in Gália, in the interior of São Paulo. The eldest of five brothers grew up in a coffee plantation area, coming into contact with Japanese and Italian immigrants - an experience that directly influenced his works.
