The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said this Wednesday (8) that the peace agreement signed with Iran is "over" and said he no longer wants dialogue with Tehran.

"For me, I think [the peace agreement] is over. I don't want to deal with them [Iran] anymore. They're scum, they're led by sick people and they're an evil, violent people. (...) I'll talk to my negotiators, but it's a waste of time dealing with them. As far as I know, it's over," said Trump when asked if the agreement had "died".
Trump's speech, at a press conference press in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, before a NATO summit, occurred after another exchange of bombings between the US and Iran that took place between Tuesday and Wednesday. The two countries are officially in the midst of a ceasefire in the war between them, and signed a preliminary peace agreement in June.
The Iranian government had not yet publicly spoken out this Wednesday after Trump's speech about the peace agreement until the last update of this report.

Despite the peace agreement, the US and Iran have exchanged some aggression in recent weeks, as seen in the last few hours, when the US Army bombed several targets in southern Iran for accusing the Iranian regime of attacking three commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
In response, Iran stated that the US strikes were a "clear violation" of the peace agreement and launched retaliatory strikes against US bases in Bahrain and Kuwait in the early hours of Wednesday.
Both of the Arab countries hit are home to Washington's military bases: Bahrain is the headquarters of the US Navy's 5th Fleet, while Kuwait serves as headquarters for US Army forces in the region. Both governments issued missile warnings to the population early in the morning.
