Actress Larissa Manoela, 25, revealed last Monday (6) that her routine still has restrictions after undergoing surgery to treat endometriosis. She underwent the procedure on the 23rd to remove pockets of the autoimmune disease. In a video published on social media, she shared medical advice that she has been following.

Among the adaptations to the routine are exercises: according to the actress, doctors have not yet approved training for the lower limbs. She revealed that the treadmill and walking have been her "main allies" in post-surgery recovery. "Another week, me and the treadmill. It has been my companion, since I still can't train lower ones", said the actress.

Larissa made the decision to operate on her endometriosis at the end of June. Although his condition was stabilized, the choice had full approval and daily monitoring from his doctor.

"Over the years, my doctor and I built a long-term plan. And, in our last conversations, I realized that I was entering a slightly calmer phase in my schedule, if that's possible, right?", he reported. Although the initial diagnosis may worry individuals, not all cases of the disease require surgical treatment. A recent study by Albert Einstein Hospital, published in BMJ Open Quality, found that 22% of indications for surgery to treat the condition are performed unnecessarily.

According to experts, there are two main scenarios that require more invasive treatments: when the patient does not improve with multidisciplinary monitoring and when the disease presents foci in organs outside the pelvic region, such as the bladder and intestine.
