The American company Anthropic, developer of Claude artificial intelligence models, announced this Tuesday (9) the release to the public of Fable 5, considered the first model of the most advanced class of its technology to become available to general users. The information was released by the Associated Press (AP) news agency.
Fable 5 is part of the Mythos category, presented by the company in April. Until now, the models in this line were restricted due to security concerns.
According to the AP, despite being open to the public, the version made available has limitations in areas considered sensitive, such as cybersecurity and risks associated with possible biological attacks.

At the same time, Anthropic will continue to offer a version without these restrictions, called Claude Mythos 5, aimed at companies, organizations and government agencies that already have access to this group of customers.
According to the Associated Press, the company claims that this version is capable of identifying and exploiting security vulnerabilities with unprecedented speed and accuracy. These capabilities are among the reasons that led the company to adopt control measures for broader access to technology.
The decision represents another step by Anthropic to expand access to its most advanced artificial intelligence tools, while seeking to reduce the risks associated with the use of these systems in sectors considered critical.
