Switzerland beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1 on Thursday afternoon (18) in the second round of Group B of the World Cup and took the lead.


Playing at SoFi Stadium, the Swiss took a while to score, but took advantage of the numerical advantage after a defender was sent off, securing the three points and the provisional lead in the group. Manzambi, twice, and Rubén Vargas made it to Switzerland; Mahmic scored for the Bosnians.


The second game of the day takes place between Canada x Qatar, who face each other at 7pm (Brasília time), at BC Place, in Vancouver.

Classification
With the victory, Switzerland took first place pending the result of the other clash in the group. On the other hand, Bosnia got complicated and now needs to beat Qatar to qualify for the knockout stage.


The four points put the Swiss in a comfortable position in the fight for a place in the next phase. Despite this, the classification is not yet guaranteed, as the ranking of the best third-placed teams continues to change with each match.
