Nubank co-founder says message about liquidation was a "bizarre" error

Cristina Junqueira, co-founder of Nubank, acknowledged in a post on Instagram the bank's operational error on Friday (12), which caused some customers to receive notifications citing the "closure" of the financial institution's operations. She classified the episode as "bizarre".

"What bizarre error was that? Help, explain it to us", asked a user on the social network to the co-founder of Nubank.

"Man, really bizarre. But it was just that, an operational error. A person who submitted a PR who ended up accidentally activating the protocol that exists when something like this happens. The messages went to a very small portion of customers, but of course it causes an inconvenience", wrote Cristina Junqueira. "We sincerely apologize to everyone who received incorrect information. Anyway, another learning experience and we are already taking action to ensure it doesn't happen again," she added.

The notification received by Nubank customers advised customers to request a guarantee from the FGC (Credit Guarantee Fund), but both the financial institution and the Central Bank confirmed that operations are continuing normally.

We apologize to those our customers for what happened and we reinforce our commitment to maintaining the quality of the services provided and transparency in our relationships with everyone", highlighted the bank in an official statement.
