The 10 best-selling electric cars in the first half of 2026
The electric car market continues to have good sales figures. In the year to date, between January and June, some models stood out, such as the most sold electric cars.
An example of this is the BYD Dolphin Mini. The electric compact has already sold 35,681 units in the first six months of 2026.
The electric car starts at R$118,990, in the GL configuration. The GS is sold for R$119,990. In the first, the battery has 30 kWh and a range of 224 km. The top of the line has 38.8 kWh and can travel 280 km. The numbers consider the Inmetro cycle.
Just below, as vice-leader, the BYD Dolphin was the second best-selling electric car in Brazil. The model registered 18,054, considering the three versions available in the Chinese brand's portfolio: Dolphin GS, Dolphin SE and Dolphin Plus.
Already in third position, the Geely EX2 sold 14,780 units, and a large part of the sales are related to aggressive prices and a good equipment package.

The Geely EX2 has two versions (Pro and Max) and prices are R$123,800 and R$136,800, respectively.
In terms of dimensions and performance, the model is the same. There are 116 hp of power and a range of 289 km on the Inmetro cycle. The top-of-the-line Max variant, however, adds more items, such as adaptive cruise control, lane change alert, 540º camera, electrically adjustable driver's seat, induction charger and more.

The Omoda 5 totaled 9,589 units, but the numbers include the hybrid and electric versions. For this reason, the brand's SUV is not on the list. The registration numbers were provided by the consultancy K.Lume.
