In a bombshell statement, The Kinks' legendary guitarist Dave Davies has refused to endorse the band's new biography and warned fans about "misinformation" in the book. The musician, a British rock icon, didn't mince words when criticizing "All Day and All of the Night: The Day-By-Day Story Pt 1: 1940-1971", written by Doug Hinman and Andrew Sandoval. This shocking revelation delivers the full truth behind the controversies!

The 520-page book, released in February, covers the story of the Davies brothers from their beginnings to their album "Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part One." Sandoval, who served as Dave's musical director, spent two years on the road with him. However, Dave used his social media on July 8 to deny: "I cannot endorse the new Kinks book by Doug Hinman and Andrew Sandoval because there's misinformation in it about our early recording sessions. I signed some copies for charity before I had read the errors."

Dave did not detail all the errors, but was emphatic in denying old rumors: Jimmy Page did NOT play on any Kinks recording. "I'm sick and tired of this misinformation. Jimmy Page didn't play on any Kinks hits." In the video, he reinforced: "I never knew the guy... he didn't play on any of my recordings." This historical correction is crucial for fans seeking the truth.

Previously, Sandoval mentioned tensions with Ray Davies, who was reportedly planning his own autobiography. Despite this, the book aims to be a definitive source for researchers. Meanwhile, the Davies brothers have announced the "Brothers" exhibition in London (July 24 to September 6), featuring paintings by Christian Furr based on iconic photos from the 1960s.

Dave celebrated the visual project: "It was a magic moment when we crammed into the photobooth... We hope people love these as much as we do." This news gives it all away: the errors in the book, the denial of myths and the creative future of the Kinks. Dave Davies protects the band's legacy with brutal honesty - a lesson for the music world!
