Hollywood star Harrison Ford rarely did favors, but he made an exception for George Lucas, the creator of Indiana Jones. In 1993, Ford reprized the role of the adventurous archaeologist in an episode of "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles", even though he was nervous about the idea of another actor playing young Indy.

Ford had initially resisted roles in "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones", but Lucas convinced him. In "Young Indiana Jones and the Mystery of the Blues," Ford made a surprise cameo as classic Indy, wearing the hat and using the whip. The episode was the most watched of the series, with 18 million viewers!

Lucas admitted that Ford was "very nervous" at first, but after watching the series, he agreed to do the favor. This was Ford's only TV episode in decades. Despite the boost, the series was canceled shortly after.
