Zodiac Core: how signs are influencing fashion, decoration and beauty

Astrology is no longer limited to horoscopes on websites or social media content. It has been gaining ground as a form of visual and identity language that permeates everyday life and influences aesthetic choices.

In this context, zodiac symbols, sign elements and references to the birth chart began to directly impact areas such as fashion, decoration and beauty. This movement, called Zodiac Core, is linked to an increasing search for personalization, authenticity and ways to express one's identity through aesthetics.

For astrologer Gabu Camacho, the phenomenon is not temporary, but is a reflection of a deeper cultural change linked to the way people construct their identity.

"Astrology is a symbolic language of identity, which today was better understood as such. Before, people asked what your sign was. Today they want to know what your Venus aesthetic is, which element dominates your chart or which energy best represents your personality. People understood the power of the astral chart and this became an extension of the personal image", he tells CNN Brasil.

Signs and fashion
Speaking of fashion, the Zodiac Core translates into a growing interest in pieces that carry personal meanings: jewelry with sign symbols, clothes inspired by the elements of nature and collections that explore astrological archetypes.

"There is an attempt to transform subjective characteristics into visual language. A Leo may look for something more flashy and solar. A Pisces tends to connect with ethereal, fluid and dreamlike references. Not because there is an aesthetic rule for each sign, but because people use these symbols to tell stories about themselves. It goes beyond just wearing the symbol of the signs, people want to understand what energy they have and how this translates into the expression of their subjectivity", he explains Gabu.

The influence also reaches interior design, where interest in environments with spiritual, lunar and astrological references is growing. Pinterest trend data shows a continued increase in searches for spaces linked to emotional well-being, based on behavioral analysis from millions of users. And this movement is not limited to the home: it also appears in the way people plan travel experiences, with a growing search for destinations that combine aesthetics, spirituality and introspection.

For the astrologer, this reveals a change in the way people relate to their own spaces.

"There is a very strong desire to transform the bedroom, living room or office into a space that represents who you are. When someone creates an environment inspired by your Moon sign, the aesthetics of your Venus or based on any other positioning in the chart, they are creating an emotional territory."

Astrology in beauty and consumption
In the beauty sector, the influence of astrology has already appeared in makeup collections, perfumes and self-care products.

"It's as if they were translating into words what they think, feel or do. Many brands have realized that selling just one product is no longer enough. People want to consume meaning. When a makeup palette is associated with a sign or a perfume is related to a specific energy, the product gains a much stronger emotional layer", analyzes Gabu.

For the astrologer, the growth of the Zodiac Core indicates a broader transformation in the way people express themselves in contemporary times. In the midst of information overload and increasingly fluid identities, astrology can also be used to build identity.

"Astrology is accessible and, deep down, goes beyond it. Many see it as something superfluous, but it is the first contact of identity with the symbolic world for many people. We are talking about people trying to answer who they are and express themselves through the language of the stars. Signs are a cultural reference because they offer a narrative about desires, personality and belonging, and this speaks directly to the way we consume images today."
