Yuri Alberto leads the list of Corinthians' least efficient players in submissions in 2026

Despite being Corinthians' top scorer this season, Yuri Alberto appears as the player who left the most goals along the way in the first half of 2026. According to a survey by the Fiel Imprensa profile, on X, formerly Twitter, expected goals (xG) data show that the striker scored less than the opportunities created indicated.
xG is a metric that calculates the probability of a shot resulting in a goal based on factors such as distance, angle and type of chance created. When a player scores fewer goals than his xG, it is understood that he performed below expectations in conclusions.

At Corinthians, Yuri Alberto accumulated 9.51 expected goals, but found the net only six times, recording a negative goal difference of 3.51. In practice, the striker scored around three and a half goals less than the volume and quality of chances suggested.
The second position on the list is Pedro Raul. The center forward had 2.24 xG throughout the semester, but did not score any goals, leaving a negative balance of 2.24. Corinthians, it is worth mentioning, is on vacation due to the break for the World Cup, which takes place between June 11th and July 19th, in the United States, Mexico and Canada. According to ge.globo, the Alvinegro squad will perform again at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava on June 25th, Thursday, to continue the preparation for the 2026 sequence, which still includes the round of 16 matches of the Copa do Brasil and Conmebol Libertadores, in addition to the Brazilian Championship.
On July 12th, Alvinegro will play a preparatory friendly against FC Cascavel, in Paraná. Officially, Timão will only return to play in the week of July 22nd, when they will face Remo, at the Neo Química Arena, at the end of the first round of the Brasileirão. Currently, Fernando Diniz's men occupy tenth place with 24 points.
