Yuri Alberto is the athlete most used by Fernando Diniz at Corinthians

Since Fernando Diniz's arrival at Corinthians' technical command, Yuri Alberto has established himself as one of the team's most present players. The striker is the only player in the squad who participated in all 16 matches played by Timão under the direction of the coach, hired at the beginning of April.

The trajectory began precisely with Diniz's debut, in the victory over Platense, in the group stage of the Conmebol Libertadores. Since then, the number 9 has been present in all the team's commitments, whether as a starter or coming off the bench.

Of the 16 matches played during the period, Yuri started 14 among the starters. The only exceptions came against Barra, in the first game of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, and against Peñarol, in the fifth round of the Libertadores. Even without such impressive numbers during the period, the striker directly contributed to five goals, with two goals scored and three assists distributed.

Just behind Yuri are three players who only missed one appointment under the command of Fernando Diniz. Defender Gustavo Henrique was left out of the match against Mirassol, in the Brazilian Championship, due to the accumulation of yellow cards. Rodrigo Garro did not start in the clash against Barra, while Jesse Lingard was absent in the duel against Grêmio, the last one before the World Cup break, after receiving release from the club to resolve family issues in England.

The sequence of appearances reinforces the coaching staff's confidence in Yuri Alberto, who continues to be one of the team's offensive references. Even so, the striker's future at Parque São Jorge remains a behind-the-scenes issue.

After Corinthians qualified in the Copa do Brasil, the number 9 admitted that he intends to analyze new challenges in his career during the period of calendar interruption, leaving open the possibility of a transfer in the next transfer window.

The interest in European football is nothing new. At the beginning of the season, the black and white board rejected a proposal from Lazio, from Italy, valued at 22 million euros, around R$137 million at the price at the time. Furthermore, Yuri has Italian citizenship, a factor that facilitates a possible negotiation for the European market as he does not occupy a foreign position.

While the future is not defined, the striker remains one of Fernando Diniz's trusted names and the only athlete present in all of the coach's games since his arrival at Corinthians.
