Young man tattoos Neymar's name on his face after being called up for the World Cup

Former player Allan Kennedy, who played for Uberlândia's youth teams, went viral on social media this week for a 'tribute' to Neymar. After the star was called up to compete in the World Cup for the Brazilian team, the 22-year-old tattooed the attacking midfielder's name on his face.

Today working as a barber, Allan attended, alongside friends, the event in which Carlo Ancelotti announced the chosen candidates to compete in the World Cup. The anxiety wasn't just about the list, but especially about whether the idol would wear Amarelinha again.

When Neymar's name appeared on the squad list, Allan celebrated effusively - something recorded in a video on social media.

Afterwards, he made the final decision to honor the Santos player with a tattoo. He then wrote the name "Neymar Jr." on both sides of the face: on one cheek and, on the other side, close to the ear.

"I've always followed Neymar through everything. In good times and in bad times. He never gave up and that's what I take with me in my life. Many times even his silence on the field taught me something. The call-up was just the trigger for something I've wanted for a long time", said the barber.

Allan also dreamed of making a living from football. He even played in the youth teams at Uberlândia, but his dream was interrupted by a serious injury.

In less than a year at UEC, the young man tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee - the same injury that Neymar suffered in 2023, for Al-Hilal - and left the field.
