WW Talks welcomes Army commander to discuss defense in Brazil

The third edition of WW Talks, this Tuesday (16), welcomes the Army commander, General Tomás Ribeiro Paiva, to discuss Brazil's structural and strategic challenges in the area of defense.

WW Talks will be broadcast live from 6pm (Brasília time) on CNN Money's YouTube (watch).

In addition to the Army commander, William Waack, Thaís Heredia, Caio Junqueira and political scientist Silvio Cascione, director of Eurasia Group in Brazil, will address issues such as the vulnerabilities of Brazilian land borders, monitoring bottlenecks in the Blue Amazon and the current situation of the BID (Industrial Defense Base).

The panel will also include discussions on the Union Budget in the area, the preservation of strategic national companies for the sector and alternative financing models (such as public-private partnerships), and will analyze the scenario in Congress to transform defense into a permanent State policy, shielding the sector against electoral fluctuations and enabling the country's technological modernization.
