World Cup: Striker scores Jordan's first goal in history and pays tribute

The Austrian team is beating Jordan 2-1 this Wednesday (17), in a match in the first round of Group J of the World Cup. The Asian country's goal was scored by Ali Olwan, their first in the history of the competition.

Just five minutes into the second half, the Jordanians launched a counterattack and Olwan was used on the left side of the attack. He invaded the area, cleared the marker and hit the corner to score.

In celebration, the 26-year-old center forward showed off a number 11 shirt, in honor of striker Yazan Al-Naimat, who was injured and was not called up for the World Cup.
