World Cup 2027: three more European teams guarantee a place in the competition; look

In the last round of the European Qualifiers for the 2027 Women's World Cup, France, Spain and Denmark overcame their respective opponents this Tuesday (9) and secured their places in the tournament hosted in Brazil.

The Spanish team, current world champions, maintained their lead in Group A3 thanks to their better performance in the direct confrontation with England. The team beat Iceland 6-1, away from home, with two goals from young Vicky Lopez.

In Group A2, France secured their place with a 1-0 victory over Ireland. Melvine Malard scored just before half-time. The team maintained first place in the group, two points ahead of the Netherlands, who beat Poland 3-1. The Irish finished in third place, with nine points.

Denmark secured first place in Group A1 with a convincing 4-1 victory over Serbia away from home. Amalie Vangsgaard scored two goals, while Pernille Harder, from the penalty spot, and Cecilie Floe completed the rout. Allegra Poljak cashed in on the Serbian side.

Germany had already secured their place in Group A4 before the final round of matches. The 2027 Women's World Cup will be held in Brazil and will take place between June 24 and July 25 next year.
