The woman suspected of recording the torture of animals and selling the videos on a social network is free. The information was confirmed by the woman's defense and the SSP-SP (São Paulo Public Security Secretariat).

Daiana Schuinsekel de Almeida was the target of a search and seizure warrant at an address in Bela Vista, in the Central region of the capital, this Thursday morning (28). CNN Brasil found that she had been arrested after being identified by a tattoo and marks on her legs.

According to the investigation with sources linked to the investigation, at the time Daiana was arrested, she would have confessed to the crimes, but stated that it was old content. When asked by the police about where the animals were, the woman stated that she preferred to remain silent.

She was taken to the 3rd police station of the DPPC (Environmental Crimes Police Station), responsible for the investigation, to provide clarification.

The report found that, at the police station, the agents did not find content that would allow for an arrest in the act. Therefore, she was released. The SSP corrected the information that she was arrested in the morning and reported that she was only sent to testify.

Daiana is being investigated for crimes of ill-treatment, zoosadism and commercialization of videos of violence.

Daiana's defense lawyer stated that she was never arrested. "She is being investigated and went to provide clarification," said the defense, who confirmed that she left the police station at the end of the day.

On the morning of this Thursday (28), agents from the police unit carried out investigations at an address in Bela Vista to execute search and seizure warrants against a woman for the crime of animal abuse. The suspect was taken to the police station where she was interviewed. The objects found in her residence were seized and sent for forensic examination."

Report of mistreatment
According to investigations, the complaint was made by an NGO in Bulgaria, which reported that the woman recorded torture of rabbits and chicks. The content was sold on Discord (a free digital communication platform) and similar networks for amounts between 20 and 50 euros, according to the police.

In the woman's house, the shoes allegedly used for the torture sessions were located. The recordings show a woman who would be Daiane naked, while stepping on animals, usually puppies, with high heels and platform sneakers. The content will not be published by CNN Brasil.

In a statement, Discord stated that it maintains strict policies that prohibit animal abuse and other harmful content, through robust monitoring and moderation systems.
