With their place confirmed, England stands in Brazil's way in the World Cup

England beat Panama 2-0 this Saturday (27), and joined Brazil in the knockout bracket of the 2026 World Cup.

The English Team qualified in first place in Group L, above Croatia and Ghana, and secured themselves in the round of 16 phase of the World Cup. The game will be held on July 1st, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, in Atlanta, but the opponent has not yet been confirmed.

For the meeting between the teams to take place in the quarter-finals, a series of situations need to be confirmed, starting with a victory for Brazil over Japan next Monday (29).

If they advance, Brazil will face the winner of Norway x Ivory Coast in the round of 16, and will need another positive result to qualify for the quarterfinals, which will take place in Miami.

On the English side, we need to win in Atlanta. In the next phase, Mexico or Ecuador could be the opponents, to decide who goes to Florida.
