Corinthians arrived at the World Cup calendar break with a team base more defined by coach Fernando Diniz. Since the coach's arrival, some players have started to receive a longer sequence, while others continue to seek space in the black and white squad to increase their participation in the season.

With fewer changes in the lineups and a formation considered main by the commander, some of the athletes in the squad had few opportunities on the field in 2026. Among the players with less participation are Jacaré, Alex Santana, Bahia and Felipe Longo, who have played just once for Corinthians in the year so far.

In addition to them, names that had more space in previous seasons have also lost prominence in recent months. This is the case of Fabrizio Angileri, Charles and Gui Negão, who started to appear less frequently in the technical committee's choices.

The list also includes athletes who have faced physical problems or recently arrived at the club. Hugo Farias is recovering from a knee injury, while Kauê and João Pedro Tchoca also had periods away. Tchoca even negotiated a transfer to Torino, in Italy, but did not pass the medical exams and has remained in the Corinthians medical department since the beginning of April. Right-back Pedro Milans, recently signed, is still looking to adapt to the squad.

Check out the players from the current Corinthians squad with the least participation in 2026:

Among the athletes with the lowest number of minutes played in the season, Jacaré appears with the lowest participation, having played in just one match, with nine minutes on the field. Alex Santana also only played one game, with 17 minutes played, while Bahia got an opportunity and played 49 minutes.

Felipe Longo participated in a match and spent 101 minutes on the field. Following this, Hugo Farias played three games and played 196 minutes, while Kauê also played in three matches, accumulating 303 minutes.

João Pedro Tchoca appears with five games played and 451 minutes on the field. Pedro Milans, recently signed by Corinthians, played seven matches and played 611 minutes this season.

Among the players with the most appearances, but still with little space in the main squad, are Fabrizio Angileri, with nine games and 638 minutes, Gui Negão, with 12 games and 637 minutes, and Charles, who entered the field 11 times, totaling 694 minutes.

Following are Memphis Depay, Kaio César, Kayke and Zakaria Labyad, all with 14 games played in 2026. Despite the reduced number of games, the tendency is for some of these athletes to gain minutes again during the season, especially with the sequence of competitions in the second half.

Kayke's case is an exception. The young striker is recovering from a knee injury and is only expected to return in 2027. Memphis Depay could once again have more space if he stays at Corinthians and is used again as a starter by Fernando Diniz.

To date, Corinthians has played 37 matches this season. After the break, the club will still face commitments in the Brazilian Championship, Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores.

Amidst the delicate financial scenario experienced by the club, the board is working with the possibility of making few movements in the market and maintaining the current structure of the squad. With this, players who had fewer opportunities in the first half of the year can still seek a change of scenery and gain more space with Fernando Diniz in the final stretch of 2026.
