With rest for the starters, Flaco López could debut in the World Cup for Argentina

Lionel Messi will have another opportunity to enchant at the World Cup.

The forecast is that he will not be on the field during the entire game against the already eliminated Jordan this Saturday (27), at 11pm (Brasília time). The number 10, however, insists on playing despite the preservation of the starters intended by coach Lionel Scaloni.

The rotation of the Argentine squad could promote the debut of Flaco López, Palmeiras striker. The athlete has played five games for the national team and has yet to score any goals.

At the World Cup, Flaco did not leave the bench in the victories against Algeria and Austria.

Even so, the tendency is for Flaco López not to start in the starting 11, but to enter during the game. Coach Lionel Scaloni should give pace to boys Valentín Barco and Nico Paz, both 21 years old.

"The classification doesn't change anything for us. We would all take the field to win the matches. Now let's analyze the situation. The idea is to give the opportunity to the majority of players who deserve to play and, whenever the match allows, we will do that", projected the coach, shortly after the victory over Austria.

A certain absence is defender Cristian Romero, who left the game against the Austrians with muscle pain. Nicolás Otamendi should replace him.

Gonzalo Montiel and Nicolás Tagliafico tend to return to play after injuries.

Jordan will say goodbye to their first World Cup against the defending champions.
