After Novak Djokovic's fall this Friday (29) to João Fonseca, in a 3 sets to 2 defeat in the third round of Roland Garros, the tennis world will meet a new Grand Slam champion.

The Serb was the last champion of one of the four main tennis tournaments on the ATP circuit that was "alive" in Paris, France.

In this way, the 2026 edition of the French Open will have an unprecedented Grand Slam champion. Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev were the other Grand Slam champions in contention at Roland Garros.

Russian Medvedev fell in the first round to Australian Adam Walton. The Italian and current leader of the ranking Sinner lost in the second round to the Argentine Juan Manuel Cerúndolo.
