Who was the woman who died after falling down stairs while disembarking in Congonhas
A woman died after falling from the landing stairs of a Latam plane at Congonhas Airport, in the south of São Paulo. Maria da Glória Pereira da Silva Fávaro was 72 years old.
She was the mother of dermatologist Raquel Fávero, who published tributes on social media after her death. "I don't know if I was able to repay all the love I received, but thank you mom, I will always love you", wrote Raquel in one of the posts.
In the same publication, the doctor stated that she only fully understood her mother's love and dedication after becoming a mother herself. Maria da Glória's wake was scheduled for this Tuesday (2), at the Ituverava Municipal Velório, in the interior of São Paulo.
The case happened last Friday (29), inside Congonhas Airport. The investigations began last Friday (29), after the victim's son went to the police station reporting that his mother had suffered a fall when disembarking Latam flight LA3785, which departed from Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, bound for the capital.

She was rescued by an ambulance from the airport, which provided first aid and then took the woman to the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) Jabaquara.
During medical care, the victim was accompanied by an airline employee, who remained until family members arrived. The woman was later transferred to Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz, but she did not survive the fall and died on Sunday (31).
In a statement, Latam lamented the woman's death and stated that it followed all protocols foreseen for this type of incident.
"LATAM deeply regrets the death of the passenger and is in solidarity with her family. The company emphasizes that it follows all the protocols foreseen for this type of situation, reiterating that it adopts all possible safety measures, technical and operational, to guarantee a safe trip for everyone", it informed.
To CNN Brasil, Aena also regretted what happened and expressed solidarity with the victim's family and friends.
