Pedro Marques Ortaça, Brazilian singer, composer and guitarist, died this Friday (29), aged 83, in a hospital in Rio Grande do Sul.

The gaúcho became known for dedicating himself to nativist music and accumulated hits such as "Timbre de Galo" and "Bailanta do Tiburcio". He was part of the four artists called Troncos Missioneiros, alongside Jayme Caetano Braun, Cenair Maicá and Noel Guarany - dedicated to singing the history, customs and reality of the missionary people.
