When will Camp Rock 3 be released? Everything about the new Disney Channel movie
One of Disney Channel's biggest hits will get a new sequel. "Camp Rock 3" will follow the return of Connect 3 - the Jonas Brothers' fictional band - to the beloved camp. Speculation about the new episode had been running high since Joe Jonas read out his cell phone notes on a show in August 2025, where he blurted out: "Read 'Camp Rock 3,' he said, before looking into the camera and commenting on the accidental revelation: "Sorry, Disney."
After the episode, Disney released an official teaser in July, which confirmed the film's release for August 13th. Brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas will reprise their roles as Jason Gray and Nate Gray, respectively, alongside Joe. The three are also executive producers of the film.
"Somehow, this is the third time I've celebrated my birthday on the set of 'Camp Rock'? 15, 17 and now the best one yet: 33 years," wrote Nick Jonas in the caption of a series of behind-the-scenes photos with his brothers and his wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Aside from the Jonas Brothers, the only other member of the original cast confirmed so far is Maria Canals-Barrera. The actress, known for "Wizards of Waverly Place", will once again play her role as Connie Torres, mother of protagonist Mitchie.
The third "Camp Rock" film is set more than a decade after "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam", with the group Connect 3 preparing for a huge reunion tour. When the opening act disappears, the band returns to the acclaimed summer music camp, Camp Rock, in search of replacements.
"As the campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are put to the test, leading to alliances, revelations and unexpected romances," says the official synopsis.
Singer Demi Lovato, 33, will not return to her main role in this third stage, but has taken on the role of executive producer and recently reunited with her old co-stars on stage.
"It was something that did me a lot of good," said Lovato in an interview with the Chicks in the Office podcast. "You know, we've been through so much together - all of us, the Jonas Brothers and me. It was really great to spend time with them," he said.
Filming began in September 2025 and, like the first two films, is also taking place in Canada. The production has not revealed which campground is being used for the third film, but Disney has confirmed that filming has begun in Vancouver.
