The 2-1 victory over Japan this Monday (29/6) put Brazil in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup and brought the Seleção closer to the long-awaited six-time championship.
The opponent will be the winner of the clash between Ivory Coast x Norway, which takes place this Tuesday (30/6).
The duel for the round of 16 is scheduled for next Sunday (5/7), at 5pm, at the stadium in New Jersey, in the United States, where Brazil debuted at the World Cup.
If they advance, the team led by Carlo Ancelotti will still have three more matches to go to win the title: quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final, scheduled for July 19th.

Quarter-finals
England could be one of Brazil's opponents in the quarter-finals if the Brazilian team advances

If they win in the round of 16, Brazil will return to the field on Saturday (11/7), at 6pm (Brasília time), in the quarter-finals.
There is four possible opponents: Mexico, Ecuador, England and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On the one hand, the Mexicans and Ecuadorians face each other this Tuesday, while the English face the Congolese on Wednesday.
The winners of these clashes will compete for a place in the quarterfinals, when they will face whoever advances from the duel of the Brazilian team.
Semifinal
A classic between Brazil x Argentina could take place in the semi-final of the 2026 World Cup

If they advance to the semi-finals, Brazil will play on Wednesday (15/7), at 4pm (Brasília time).
The opponent will come out on the other side of the bracket, which brings together Argentina, Cape Verde, Australia, Egypt, Colombia, Ghana, Switzerland and Algeria.
To reach the semi-finals, one of these teams will need to win three knockout matches. Among the Seleção's possible rivals, there could be a classic against Argentina.
Final

If they advance to the decision, Brazil will return to the field on Sunday (7/19), at 4pm (Brasília time), in search of their sixth title.
The opponent will come out of the other half of the bracket, which brings together some of the main powers of the competition.
Among the teams still competing for a place in the final are France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United States and Canada, as well as Sweden, Paraguay, Morocco, Croatia, Austria, Senegal and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As these teams are on the same side of the bracket, they face each other throughout the round of 16, quarters and semi-finals. Thus, only one of them will reach the decision to face Brazil, if the Seleção confirms the classification.
