Wesley's name gained strength again behind the scenes at Corinthians during the transfer window. Revealed in the club's youth categories and currently linked to Al-Nassr, from Saudi Arabia, the striker was offered to Timão, who are analyzing the conditions of a possible negotiation.

The information was initially released by journalist Samuel Venâncio. According to the investigation, Corinthians received the offer and is evaluating the viability of the deal, but is currently up against the values presented by the player's staff, considered to be above the club's financial capacity.

In addition to Corinthians, Cruzeiro is also competing to sign the 21-year-old striker. Talks between the Minas Gerais club and Al-Nassr have progressed in recent days, with a loan model that does not provide for a transfer fee or purchase option at the end of the contract.

However, according to an update published by Samuel Venâncio, the scenario has changed in the last few hours. Other clubs began to show interest in the athlete, including Corinthians, and Cruzeiro does not intend to participate in a financial dispute over the signing.

According to the journalist, the celestial board considers that it has already presented the ideal conditions to complete the deal and does not intend to increase its proposal.

Behind the scenes, Corinthians also faces an important obstacle in moving forward with any signing. The club remains unable to register new players due to the transfer ban applied by FIFA, as a result of the financial dispute involving the signing of midfielder José Martínez from the Philadelphia Union. The board is working to resolve the situation before the official opening of the transfer window, scheduled for July 20th.

Wesley began his career at Corinthians in the youth categories, arriving at the club as an Under-13 player. After going through all stages of the Terrão, he debuted for the professional team in 2023 and played 85 matches, scoring seven goals. He also won the Campeonato Paulista U-17, being one of the scorers of the goals in the decision against Palmeiras.

In August 2024, the striker was traded to Al-Nassr for around 20 million dollars, in addition to bonuses provided for in the contract for sporting goals. At the beginning of this year, he was loaned to Real Sociedad, in Spain, where he remained until the end of the European season. Despite being part of the Copa del Rey champion squad, the Spanish club chose not to exercise the purchase clause.

Even though he worked abroad, Wesley never hid his identification with Corinthians. The striker often shows affection for the club on social media and, in November 2025, he was present at the Neo Química Arena to watch the 2-2 draw between Corinthians and Botafogo, when he received a Timão shirt.

At this moment, the player's future remains undefined. While Cruzeiro awaits the athlete's decision without entering into a financial dispute, Corinthians keeps the negotiation in the analysis phase and depends on both the financial issue and the resolution of the transfer ban to transform the interest into a concrete proposal.
