Wembanyama dominates, Spurs beat Thunder and level the series in the West

The San Antonio Spurs reacted in the Western Conference final and beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-82 this Sunday (24), tying the series at 2-2.

The highlight of the match was Victor Wembanyama, who took the lead from the first minutes after blaming himself for the defeat in Game 3.

"We just responded. There was nothing magical. We just did what we needed to do", said Wembanyama after the victory.

The Frenchman finished the match with 33 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals.

Wembanyama set the tone of the game in the first offensive possession, converting a three-point basket. Shortly afterwards, he blocked a dunk attempt by Chet Holmgren.

Coach Mitch Johnson highlighted the French star's attitude.

"Our team's competitive response all season has been really good, and he's been at the forefront of that for the most part. I think today he felt an obligation to set the tone for the team in a lot of ways," he said.

With the result, the Western Conference decision is completely open before the next duel in the series, which takes place on Tuesday (26).
