Was it luck? Matheus Cunha opens the scoring in Brazil x Haiti

Matheus Cunha scored the first goal for the Brazilian team in this Friday's match (19), against Haiti, in Philadelphia, in the second round of Group C of the 2026 World Cup.

The player found the net in the 22nd minute of the first half. Cunha stole the ball in midfield and passed it to Bruno Guimarães, who passed it to Vini Jr on the edge of the box.

Afterwards, Vini opened to the left, moved to the middle and finished for goalkeeper Placide to save. The rebound stopped at the feet of Cunha, who took advantage of a mistake by defender Delcroix to finish into the goal.
