Virginia wore a hat made by a Mato Grosso native during the national team game
Social media
Businesswoman and influencer Virginia Fonseca wore a look inspired by the cowgirl style during the game between Brazil and Japan, played in Houston, in the United States. Among the accessories was a hat produced by Mato Grosso native Malu Pires, from Rio Verde de Mato Grosso.
The look with hats, boots and references to country style - a popular genre in Texas, the state where the match took place - was also adopted by the wives and girlfriends of the national team players, known as WAGs, before the ball rolled.

For those who follow sports, the term "WAGs" may sound familiar. The acronym in English means wives and girlfriends ("wives and girlfriends", in Portuguese) and is used to refer to the companions of professional athletes.
The expression emerged in the United Kingdom in 2002, after appearing in a report in the "Sunday Telegraph" newspaper about the nickname given to the wives of English team players by a hotel in Dubai, but gained worldwide popularity during the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Vini Jr. commented on Virginia's look
Soon after Virginia's publication, striker Vini Jr. commented on the influencer's post. Even without scoring goals in the match, the Brazilian team's number 7 drew attention when interacting in the post.
"What style! Let's go, Brazil", wrote the player, who had a relationship with the influencer between 2025 and 2026.
Cowgirl look inspired by Texas
Virginia watched the Brazilian team's 2-1 victory from the stadium. On social media, the designer and businesswoman from Mato Grosso Malu Pires, responsible for creating the hat worn by the influencer, shared the feedback he received from the influencer herself about the accessory.
With the word "Brazil" printed on it, the hat integrated the country-style look chosen by the influencer to watch the match. The look also featured customized pants in the colors of the Brazilian flag.
"I've never been so praised. Gringos asking for photos just because of the look", Virginia reportedly said.
The look was adopted by the WAGs
The wives and girlfriends of the Brazilian National Team players, known as WAGs, also opted for cowgirl-style looks to accompany the match. Among them are Karoline Lima, Léo Pereira's girlfriend, and Lais, Ederson's wife, who published photos of their looks on social media.
With cowboy boots and hats, the productions make reference to the country style, traditional in Texas, the state where the game was held.
