The West Zone of São Paulo will feature a program dedicated to rock, punk and hardcore during the 21st edition of Virada Cultural, which takes place this Saturday (23) and Sunday (24).

With the theme "The Festival of Festivals", the region will bring together free activities on two large stages focused on the musical style: the Palco Butantã, focused on metal aspects and big names in national rock, and the Centro Cultural Tendal da Lapa, which will host a historic marathon with the biggest names in Brazilian punk rock.

The programming strategy in the region combines the experience of a street festival with the occupation of a cultural facility traditional for the alternative scene.

At Palco Butantã, set up on Avenida Pirajussara, Saturday will be dominated by the metal of Black Pantera, Matanza Ritual and the power metal of Edu Falaschi. On Sunday, the street circuit reaches its peak in the afternoon with punk rock from CPM 22 at 1:20 pm, followed by Raimundos at 3:10 pm and closing with Biquini Cavadão at 5 pm.

While Tendal da Lapa emerges as the epicenter of the underground movement in Virada. On Saturday, the program begins at 5pm with the opening of Ariel Invasor's punk collection, paving the way for a sequence of heavyweight shows that include Ratos de Porão at 6pm, Invasores de Cérebros, Inocentes, Menstruação Anárquica and the Cólera veterans at 10pm. Early morning still welcomes the group Smash It Up at midnight.

The performance schedule in Lapa resumes on Sunday from noon with the Garotos Podres show, followed by Desacato Civil.

Afterwards, singer Supla takes the stage at 2pm, opening the arena's final itinerary which also features hardcore from Bayside Kings and the closing of the festival with melodic rock from Hateen, at 4pm.
