Vini Jr. reveals that Neymar will wear number 10 for the Brazilian team in the World Cup
Vinicius Júnior, player for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team, revealed in an interview with Cazé TV that Neymar will wear the number 10 shirt in the World Cup. In the absence of the Santos attacking midfielder, both the Merengue club's number 7, Rodrygo and Raphinha wore the magic number of Amarelinha.
Neymar wore the 10 in the 2014, 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
Neymar in his fourth World Cup
After being present in the 2014, 2018 and 2022 tournaments, Santos' number 10 is still looking for his first title. If he wins the cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, he would join a select group of champion players in his fourth participation.
Among the 26 chosen by Carlo Ancelotti, Neymar is the player with the most games and minutes in World Cups in the group that will compete in the 2026 World Cup. And, depending on his performance, he could surpass Cafu and Taffarel in these aspects.
With the increase in the number of World Cup participants to 48 teams, the competition has an additional phase in 2026, and the four semi-finalists will play eight times.
