Vini Jr believes in a key turnaround in the Seleção: "play well and have confidence"
Protagonist for Real Madrid, from Spain, Vinicius Junior arrives at the 2026 World Cup with the promise of being the highlight of the Brazilian team. According to the striker, this is the most special moment of his career and the arrival of coach Carlo Ancelotti helps him repeat his performance for the Spanish club.
"The most special and most important moment in my career. I reach the physical and technical level I always dreamed of. I didn't have any injuries throughout the season, I prepared very well to reach this moment. Playing with Ancelotti also gives me complete peace of mind, because he gives me a lot of freedom and confidence so that I can do everything I've ever done at Real here in the Brazilian team", said Vini, who praised the collective spirit.
"I believe there is no better place. There are eight games and I can change this story for our country, for the players. It will be very important. I'm not even talking about goals or assists, but about playing well, making the team have the confidence they need to have and winning. The most important thing is to win, not to score a goal, but where Brazil will reach", he added.
Vini Jr also highlighted the opportunity to represent his family and the Brazilian nation in this World Cup, in which he is more experienced after participating in the 2022 World Cup.
"It's a very special role, being able to represent my whole family, my whole country at a World Cup, where I always dreamed of being", he said.
"Being here today after so much work, so many days training, lessons I've had in recent years. I just want to take advantage of the opportunity and be able to prove to everyone that we can be champions", concluded Vini.
