Village People singer Victor Willis dies aged 74

Singer Victor Willis, the police officer of the Village People group, died at the age of 74 last Tuesday (30). The information was confirmed by the band's official page on social media.

"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Willis, lead singer of Village People. Victor passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, victim of a brief but aggressive illness. We ask for privacy," the band wrote on Facebook.
