Young man is rescued from rubble 106 hours after earthquake in Venezuela
A young man was rescued in Venezuela after being trapped under rubble for more than 100 hours, the Venezuelan president, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Monday (29).

A video of post-rescue moments was shared by Delcy on her social networks. According to her, the rescue took 43 hours. In the images, Aaron Levi Cantillo appears being carried by firefighters on a stretcher and looking weakened (see the video above).
"After 106 hours in prison and a rescue operation that lasted 43 hours, Aaron Levi Cantillo was rescued alive. Recognition to Civil Defense and all international groups involved", said Delcy.
Delcy did not give details about where Cantillo lived or his health conditions after being rescued. Nighttime images indicate that the young man's rescue took place on Sunday night or in the early hours of Monday.

Disclosure/Delcy Rodríguez at The epicenter of the strongest tremor was recorded in the Venezuelan city of El Guayabo, 168 km from the capital Caracas.
Replicates occurred in coastal cities close to the Venezuelan capital, such as La Guaira, which was heavily destroyed. Caracas international airport was also closed.
In addition to the intensity of the tremors - of magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 - the shallow depth of the two tremors also explains the trail of destruction left. This is because, the closer to the ground, the more the earthquake is felt.
