Truck with immigrants catches fire during chase in Texas
Texas highway police officers rescued a group of immigrants who were in the cargo compartment of a burning box truck, in the United States. After being rescued, the immigrants were arrested.

The case occurred on June 4, but the images were only released this Thursday (11).
The agents responded to a call to assist Border Patrol agents during a chase involving a truck on highway 281, near the city of Falfurrias.
During the chase, the officers used a device to puncture tires in an attempt to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued to flee until the truck caught fire.

The driver and a passenger were removed from the cabin by police and agents and arrested. The driver then informed authorities that there were other occupants inside the truck.
Security forces quickly unlocked the truck and rescued 39 people suspected of being illegal immigrants before the vehicle was completely consumed by flames.
According to the corporation, all individuals underwent medical screening to check for injuries before being arrested.
