Trump fumbles with ribbon while awarding medal to US soldier at ceremony
US President Donald Trump fumbles with tying a medal cord while participating in a merit honor ceremony with military personnel at the White House, in Wasington, this Thursday (18).
When awarding Major Nicholas Dockery, Trump took about a minute to tie the ribbon, and ended up leaving it too tight around the soldier's neck. He laughed at the situation afterwards, during the audience's applause.
The ceremony awarded the Medal of Honor to two Marines for bravery during the Vietnam War, James Capers and John Ripley, and to Dockery, who served with the Army in Afghanistan.
Ripley was posthumously decorated. His son received the medal in his name.

Dockery and his unit were ambushed by Taliban fighters in 2012, in Kapisa province. The then second lieutenant led a counterattack and used his own body to protect a wounded comrade during the battle.
"Major Dockery, you were the last man to leave the battlefield that day," Trump said at the ceremony. "You left a legacy as a legend and hero."
