Video shows fire at Kuwait airport after Iranian attack
Iranian attacks hit Kuwait airport this Wednesday (3) and injured dozens of people.
➡ The attacks are the latest to test an unstable ceasefire, causing oil prices to rise more than 2% as the strait remains largely closed more than three months after the US and Israel launched attacks on Iran.
A video recorded the state of one of the airport's lobbies after the attack (see images above). It is possible to see a hole in the ceiling, as well as fires and destruction.
Flights at Kuwait International Airport have been suspended after an Iranian drone and missile attack damaged airport facilities and diplomatic missions, killing one person and injuring more than 60, according to Kuwaiti authorities and state media.
The civil aviation authority said Kuwait Airways was resuming flights from Terminal 4 after assessing the damage and taking safety measures.

Speech 'in an angry manner'

United States President Donald Trump acknowledged on Wednesday (3) that he spoke on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "in an angry manner" over the weekend, during a conversation in which the American tried to pressure Netanyahu to stop attacking Lebanon.
➡ On Tuesday (2), the North American news website Axios stated that Trump called the Israeli prime minister "crazy" in the phone call and said that Netanyahu was not in prison thanks to the US - he has an international arrest warrant issued by the Hague Court.
When asked about the discussion, Trump admitted that the two had an argument. "I was a little disturbed by his constant fights with Lebanon, you know?", said the American in an interview with the North American podcast "Pod Force One" this morning.
Afterwards, however, he said that he "gets along very well" with the Israeli prime minister.
Trump was referring to the constant attacks that Israel has made on Lebanon amid the ceasefire in force in the Middle East conflict. Pakistan, which mediated the negotiations, and Iran insist that Lebanon was included in the truce, while the US and Israel insist that only attacks on Iranian territory and the Persian Gulf countries.
Israel attacks southern Lebanon again
Still, Donald Trump has been saying in recent weeks that Israel should no longer attack Lebanon and, this week, he said he had ordered Netanyahu to cease the attacks.
But the Israeli leader did not comply with the determination of his main ally, and Israeli forces carried out several bombings on Lebanese territory in recent days. The offensive complicates negotiations between the US and Iran for an agreement to end the war in the Middle East.
Tehran has stated that it will break the ceasefire if Israel continues bombing Lebanon, and, this Wednesday, countries in the Persian Gulf reported drone attacks carried out by Iran. In Kuwait, the country's main airport was hit. In Bahrain, air raid defense system sirens sounded again for the first time since the ceasefire signed on April 16 between the US and Iran.
