Russian missiles and drones hit Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, in a night attack this Sunday (24), with Ukrainian air defenses intercepting some of the ammunition.

Russia's attack damaged residential buildings, offices and schools, killing at least four people and injuring more than 80, authorities said.
Explosions echoed through the city shortly after 1am local time following a warning from the Ukrainian Air Force on its Telegram channel that Russia could launch an Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile.
This was only the third time Russia has used the Oreshnik missile against Ukraine since the start of the war, with the full-scale invasion in February 2022. The Oreshnik has a range of several thousand kilometers and is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
The Air Force did not respond to a request for comment on whether an Oreshnik plane hit any targets during the attack.
