What started as a protest ended in an apparent marriage proposal at the top of the Empire State Building, in New York, in the United States, this Wednesday (1st).
A man and a woman, masked and dressed in black clothing, climbed the antenna at the top of the iconic skyscraper and hung a banner with the following phrase:
"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

Shortly later, after attracting the attention of the press and under the eyes of thousands of people who were watching everything live, they began to slowly descend to a platform slightly lower on the antenna structure and stopped there.
One of them then knelt down and the two hugged and appeared to kiss, in what seemed like a unusual marriage proposal.

At the moment, according to the North American press, it is not known how the pair reached the top of the building, which is 443 meters high, and the police are working to remove them from there.
A spokesperson for the New York Police Department told the news agency Reuters that they would not yet pronounce.
