Video: man arrested shortly after robbing pharmacy in Jardins
A man was arrested shortly after robbing a pharmacy in the Jardins region, an upscale neighborhood in the west of São Paulo, this Friday morning (5). A military police officer's body camera recorded the moment of arrest.
According to the Military Police, Motorcycle Radio Patrol (RPM) teams were informed about a robbery in progress at a pharmacy located in Alameda Lorena. The criminal entered the premises armed, announced the robbery and stole money from the cashier and weight-loss pens.
Upon arriving at the address, the police received information that the suspect had just fled towards Alameda Joaquim Eugênio de Lima. He was located when he tried to leave the region on a motorcycle.

In the personal search, the police found a .38 caliber revolver loaded with 5 intact rounds of ammunition, as well as a backpack and a bag containing 19 weight-loss pens, valued at around R$48,000.00, and R$3,256.30 in cash, products and valuables stolen during the robbery.
The man confessed to committing the crime. The individual has two criminal records for pharmacy robberies, registered in 2019.
He was taken to the 78th DP (Jardins), where a report of robbery and illegal possession of a firearm was recorded. He remained at the disposal of Justice.
Assault on pharmacy ends with three dead
Three men died in a confrontation with the Military Police after robbing a pharmacy in Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo, in the early hours of this Friday (5).
According to information from the SSP (Public Security Secretariat), a PM team was called to respond to a robbery incident at a pharmacy, in Vila Lucy, in Sorocaba (SP). During the search, teams located a vehicle that would have been used in the criminal action.
The police ordered the driver of the vehicle to stop, who disobeyed and fled, which began a police follow-up along Rodovia Raposo Tavares.
According to the police, the car ended up colliding with a metal guardrail. The car's occupants then shot at the police, who returned fire.
The three suspects were hit and died. A fourth individual, aged 15, was apprehended. Products were found inside the vehicle that had allegedly been stolen from the establishment.
