Three children of Ali Khamenei, supreme leader of Iran killed by US and Israeli bombings, attended their father's funeral this Sunday (5) and prayed next to his coffin. Mojtaba, the son who succeeded him as supreme leader, did not attend and remains missing.

Iranian state TV showed Meysam, Masoud and Mostafa Khamenei (from left to right in the video above) praying next to the coffins of Ali and four other family members who were arranged in the vast courtyard of the Great Mosalla Imam Khomeini, in Tehran, a large complex religious.
In addition to high-ranking authorities, images from Iran this Sunday showed that a crowd of thousands of faithful attended this 2nd day of public funeral to perform public prayers in honor of the late supreme leader. Read more below.
Mojtaba Khamenei has yet to make a public appearance or have images of himself released since becoming Iran's new supreme leader in March. He was injured and disfigured in the US and Israeli bombings on February 28, which killed his father and other family members and started the war in the Middle East, people close to his circle told the Reuters news agency.
In addition to Mojtaba and the three sons who attended the funeral this Sunday, Ali also has two daughters: Boshra and Hoda. Until the last update of this report, there was still no information on whether they attended their father's farewell.

In a demonstration of public devotion to the theocratic State and revolutionary fervor, the Islamic Republic is holding a week of mass funeral processions for Khamenei, including the transfer of his remains to Shiite religious sites in neighboring Iraq.
After a day in a burning chamber, indoors, for visits from Iranian leaders and foreign officials, Khamenei's coffin was displayed outdoors on Saturday, under glass, along with those of his daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and 14-month-old granddaughter.
Crowds of Iranians, many crying and some beating their chests, they filled the Mosalla, even during the early hours of the morning. Tehran's metro network reported recording 7 million trips between late Saturday night and Sunday morning as people headed downtown.
This Sunday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf prayed behind coffins. Masoud Khamenei was seen crying and wiping away tears with a keffiyeh - the checkered scarf that, in Iran, symbolizes militant revolutionary ideals and solidarity with the Palestinians - as an imam led the funeral prayers.

After what authorities bill as a grand procession in central Tehran on Monday, the remains will be taken to the seminary city of Qom, the center of Iran's Shiite hierarchy, for ceremonies on Tuesday.
From there, the body will be flown to Iraq for ceremonies in the Shiite holy cities of Najaf and Karbala on Wednesday. He will return to Iran on Thursday for another procession in Mashhad, where he will be buried next to the tomb of another medieval Shiite imam.
Authorities plan to mobilize millions of people for large processions in the coming days, providing transportation, food and accommodation.
A ceasefire has suspended the four-month war under a deal with Washington that Iranian officials say will bring major economic benefits, in line with what they describe as a victory over a superpower.
US President Donald Trump told US website Axios that negotiations for a final peace deal with Iran had been paused for a week due to events surrounding the funeral.
