Video: driver runs over motorcyclist in accident in the north of SP

Security cameras recorded the moment when a car collides head-on with a motorcycle on Rua Francisco de Brito, in the Barro Branco region, in the North of São Paulo, late this Sunday afternoon (24).

The 58-year-old man collided with a Honda CBX Twister motorcycle, driven by a 36-year-old man. The driver of the silver Chevrolet Onix was traveling along the road when he hit the motorcyclist head-on, who was carrying his 26-year-old girlfriend on the back.

The two victims were taken to Mandaqui Hospital. The car even had a fire, but it was put out by a bus driver who was driving on the street shortly after the crash.

The driver of the car underwent a clinical examination for drunkenness at the IML (Medico-Legal Institute). The result of the exam was not reported.

Military Police and rescue teams were called to provide care to the victims at the scene. The case was registered as negligent bodily injury while driving a motor vehicle in the 13th DP (Casa Verde).
