Video: bodycam shows chase of motorcyclist in Pinheiros (SP)

The Military Police arrested, on Thursday night (28), a man suspected of committing motorcycle robberies in the region of Pinheiros, a bohemian neighborhood in the west zone of São Paulo.

According to the corporation, he was arrested after reporting an attempted robbery carried out by three individuals on motorcycles. Based on information about what happened, teams located one of the vehicles and began patrolling the address.

Upon being located, the suspect tried to escape and even drove the wrong way until he was approached and detained in the Fernando Vieira de Mello Tunnel.

A video from a military police officer's body camera shows the entire chase in the middle of Pinheiros, one of the busiest neighborhoods in the capital of São Paulo.

In the operation, a helmet, a black bag and the Honda Fan 160 motorcycle used by the man were seized. The incident was registered in the 14th Police District (Pinheiros).

According to the PM, the arrested target was already known for committing robberies and thefts in the region. See his motorcycle below.
