Video: boa constrictor measuring more than 1 m is rescued after getting stuck in a drain in MG

A 1.2 meter boa constrictor got stuck in a manhole this Friday (22) in Araguari, Minas Gerais. A video released by CBMMG (Military Fire Department of the state of Minas Gerais) shows the moment of the animal's rescue.

According to firefighters, the Araguari Platoon was called at 2:15 pm for the rescue on Rua Claudiana Cândida Batista, in the Ouro Verde neighborhood.

In the video, it is possible to see one of the CBMMG rescuers holding the items needed to transport the animal, while another rescuer frees it from the manhole, which was blocked by foliage and waste. See below:

According to firefighters, the boa constrictor was removed safely and without sustaining any injuries. After rescue, the animal was returned to its natural habitat, released in an environmental reserve area.

In a note, the CBMMG recommended that the population not attempt to capture wild animals at risk on their own, and call specialized teams to carry out the rescue.
