A woman, victim of bodily injury after being hit by an injection of veterinary medicine, on January 13, 2024, in Vinhedo, requested compensation of R$52,357.18.

According to the police report and the victim's defense, Silvia Roberta Bizzo took her dog, which had pain in one of its front paws, to a veterinary clinic.

Silvia was holding the animal on her lap when the veterinarian applied the injection without even "tweezing" the application site and ended up injecting the needle with antibiotic into the victim.

After the incident, the woman sought care at Santa Casa de Vinhedo, in the interior of São Paulo, where she received medical care for seven days. After worsening at the injection site, which progressed to edema, heat, swelling and intense pain, she sought care at Hospital Sírio Libanês in São Paulo.

Also according to the woman's defense, to date, there has been no compensation for the victim. At the time, the case was registered at the 3rd Police District of Campos Elíseos as a bodily injury.

The defense also sent a note to CNN Brasil:

"Silvia Roberta Bizzo's defense regrets the absurd events that occurred at the PetSon Veterinary Hospital, as well as the need to seek the Judiciary for due compensation, given the company's absolute negligent denial. Statements about the case will be released in the procedural records, in the appropriate time and manner."

CNN Brasil also contacted the PetSon Veterinary Hospital, but, so far, has not received a response.
