Vibra will supply the world's largest cellulose factory in Innocência
Vibra signed a five-year contract with Arauco to supply fuels and lubricants to the cellulose factory that the Chilean company is building in Inocência (MS). As part of the partnership, the distributor will invest R$45 million in the construction of a filling station within the industrial unit, which will be the largest cellulose factory in the world built in a single stage, with capacity to produce 3.5 million tons per year.
The station will be responsible for supplying the forestry and logistics operations of the Sucuriú Project, including the supply of diesel, ethanol, gasoline, lubricants and ARLA. According to Vibra, the infrastructure will have a storage capacity of 1,270 cubic meters, eight supply bays for the Arauco fleet and automated truck loading systems, in addition to safety and firefighting equipment.
The contract reinforces Vibra's strategy of expanding its operations in the B2B segment, in which it serves more than 32 thousand companies. The company states that the agreement occurs at a time of expansion in the Brazilian cellulose industry, which recorded production records, with 29.4 million tons, and exports, with 27.4 million tons, in 2025.
According to the company, one of the operation's differentiators will be the supply of Vibra Agritop premium diesel. The company claims that the fuel provides a reduction of up to 5% in diesel consumption, which also contributes to reducing the operation's greenhouse gas emissions, in line with Arauco's environmental goals.
In a statement, Vibra's executive vice-president of Commercial B2B, Juliano Prado, stated that the partnership reinforces the company's positioning in large industrial projects. Pedro Pyles, functional manager of Logistics Maintenance, Fuel Station and Wood Yard at Arauco Celulose, said that the structure was designed to increase the energy efficiency of the operation and reduce fleet maintenance costs, avoiding unscheduled stops.
The Arauco factory in Inocência is expected to come into operation in 2027 and will be the company's first unit dedicated to the production of bleached pulp in Brazil. The company has been operating in the country since 2002 and maintains operations in the forestry, wood panels, moldings, resins and chemical products segments.
