"Very regrettable": Elon Musk speaks out after Bezos' rocket explodes
Elon Musk, owner of SpaceX, spoke out on X (Twitter) after the explosion of a rocket from the company Blue Origin, owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos, which occurred on Thursday night (28). "Very unfortunate. Rockets are difficult," Musk said.
After Bezos' company spoke out, Musk expressed regret and wished the company recovery: "I'm sorry to see this, I hope you recover quickly."

Another name to speak about what happened was NASA administrator, Jared Isaacman. He reported that the American Space Agency is aware of the explosion: "NASA is aware of the anomaly that occurred tonight at Launch Complex 36, involving Blue Origin's new Glenn rocket."

In turn, Jeff Bezos reported that the team working on the operation is safe. "It's too early to know the root cause, but we are already working to find it. A very difficult day, but we will rebuild what needs to be rebuilt and we will fly again. It's worth it," he commented on social media.
Blue Origin was testing the engines and the accident occurred during ignition.

The company announced earlier this week plans for the New Glenn rocket to return to flight, following a failure during the rocket's third flight on April 19 that prompted a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigation.
During the April mission, the rocket's first stage successfully landed on a sea ferry, but the upper part, or second stage, was unable to place its payload - AST SpaceMobile's BlueBird 7 satellite - into a safe orbit.

NASA's Artemis program seeks a private partner for the space mission to land a man on the Moon again. Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin and Elon Musk's SpaceX compete for this spot.
According to astronautics expert Pedro Pallota, during a recent interview with CNN Prime Time, although Blue Origin is older (founded in the 2000s) than SpaceX (created in 2002), Elon Musk's company has a much more aggressive approach and a significant advantage in terms of experience.
