PAHO warns of precarious situation in Venezuela after earthquakes
The death toll from the double earthquake in Venezuela rose to 4,118, according to data released by the government this Friday (10). The number of injured remained unchanged at 16,740, while 17,907 people remain homeless.
The two earthquakes that hit Venezuela on June 24 left a trail of destruction across the country. The tremors had magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 and occurred less than a minute apart. For seismologists, they form what is known as a double earthquake.
