This Valentine's Day, be inspired by touching stories of couples who broke up, got back together and gave love a second chance.
Shaman and Sophie Charlotte
Shaman and Sophie Charlotte made their relationship public in July 2024. Since then, the relationship has gone through some ups and downs, including a separation that lasted about three months between Carnival this year and the beginning of June.
The first breakup became public in February 2025. During Carnival, in a box in Marquês de Sapucaí, Sophie confirmed that she was single.
The reconciliation was noticed by fans this month, when the two were photographed holding hands in a shopping mall in Rio de Janeiro, in their first photo together after the breakup.

In 2023, João Gomes announced on social media that his relationship with influencer Ary Mirelle had come to an end. At the time, the singer posted about how sad he was, after having a long conversation with the girl.
A month later, the artist published that he had become ill and had the support of Ary Mirelle. Then, both announced the pregnancy of their first child Jorge, now 2 years old.
Neymar and Bruna Biancardi
Influencer Bruna Biancardi and football player Neymar Jr. have two daughters, Mavie and Mel.

Gusttavo Lima and Andressa Suita are another couple who proved that love is capable of overcoming barriers. In October 2020, the celebrities separated and, in 2022, they agreed to reconcile. Together, they are parents to Gabriel and Samuel.
At the time, the countryman justified, through his press office, that the end of the relationship happened naturally. "The end occurred after a normal deterioration in the relationship. We inform you that there was no fight or betrayal", he said.

Another example is the couple Bruno Gagliasso and Giovanna Ewbank. Together for 15 years, in 2012, shortly after getting married, the two faced a quick breakup after betrayal by the actor.
In a conversation on the podcast "Quem Pode, Pod", Giovanna recalled the case: "At first, I wanted the plane to crash with him inside, I didn't care", she declared. "We have to try and try. How to maintain a healthy and lasting relationship?
According to psychologist Felipe Mattiello, master in Clinical Psychology from the University of Brasília and couples psychotherapist, to have a lasting relationship, individual goals need to align with the aspirations of life as a couple.
In practice, this means that it is important for both parties to be willing to give in for the sake of the relationship and the other person, so that the relationship remains in balance. Furthermore, it also means that the couple needs to be transparent about this balance and talk openly about it.
"Being able to talk calmly in moments of tension. Having good communication when everything is going well is easy. But the foundation of a relationship is consolidated in difficult times, they are what say whether the couple will be able to have a lasting relationship", he says.
"For example, when faced with a situation that bothered the person next to you, before returning an argument, ask: 'How did that make you feel? Have you ever felt that way in any other situation? What did you expect me to do differently?' These are just examples of possible questions to ask to understand what the other person has been through and their expectations of the other person, instead of getting into a fight about who is right or wrong", he concludes.
