"The Air Force VC-25B Bridge aircraft has officially arrived at the Presidential Airlift Group and will begin its initial commissioning flights, marking the successful delivery of a safe and modified executive platform," the US Air Force said in a statement.
The plane, a luxury Boeing 747, was a gift from Qatar to Donald Trump in May 2025. At the time, the acceptance by the American president generated controversy. According to "The New York Times", Trump "fell in love at first sight" with the aircraft.
Before being handed over to the Air Force, the aircraft underwent a series of adaptations to have all the safety specifications to transport the US president. The vehicle has to serve as a "flying Oval Office" and fly for hours in the event of a nuclear war, for example, all with the aim of protecting the American leader.
